Unnamed Officers – Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office

In 2022, a Hardin Police Department officer was investigated for allegedly using excessive force during the arrest of Elery Royce Crooked Arm. The officer reportedly struck Crooked Arm multiple times on the back of his head and neck while handcuffing him. The case was taken up by the state Division of Criminal Investigation and was under review for possible prosecution.
