In August 2012, Sgt. Vicente Morris was involved in the arrest of Michael J. Albert Sr. at the Augusta homeless shelter. Albert alleged that excessive force was used during his arrest, resulting in a torn rotator cuff. In May 2016, a jury cleared Sgt. Morris of the excessive force claim.
