In March 2020, Deputy Weston Akalski was involved in an off-duty bar fight in Lake Havasu City, where surveillance footage showed him punching two men. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct fighting, a Class 1 misdemeanor, and was placed on probation. Following this incident, his employment with the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office ended.
